↵* Dr. Goldstein is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine and also Director of Psychiatric Outpatient Services at the Manhattan V.A. Hospital. He was formerly Senior Psychiatrist and Director of the Forensic Psychiatry Clinics of the Manhattan Criminal and Supreme Courts and Staff Psychiatrist of the Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital Prison Ward, where he supervised the treatment and evaluation of mentally disturbed offenders, trained psychiatry and law students and carried out research studies in law and psychiatry. He is affiliated with the New York University-Bellevue Medical Center and is also Director of Psychiatric Services of Beekman Downtown Hospital. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also certified by the State of New York as a Qualified Psychiatrist. He is the author of a number of monographs and articles (especially in the area of Forensic Psychiatry), is the Chairman of the special seminar for Judges and Psychiatrists of the Hunter College Trial Judges Institute, and is an officer of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law.
